Executive Overview: In this weekend's project, you will use inspiration from the real world to create a fictional product, logo, and brand identity from scratch.

For this weekend’s project, you will use ChatGPT to create a new drink inspired by a cute animal. If you do not have ChatGPT, then most of what I share should work on Copilot or Gemini. Part of this project includes creating images, so skip that part if you are a Claude user.

Here are the things you will do for this weekend project:

1. Upload a cute photo of a Meerkat for inspiration

2. Learn more about Meerkats for your product inspiration

3. Create a logo for your product

4. Take a little side journey to learn about creating AI images

5. Create the brand identity for the new product

6. Create a product sample image

💡 I am using ChatGPT Plus on my computer. You can follow along on your phone or other device, but the instructions might differ slightly. You may also use Copilot or Gemini, but your experience may not be exactly the same.

First, we need to find some inspiration. I found this image of a cute Meerkat and thought it would be a great start.

1. Copy the following image or drag and drop it to your desktop.

2. Open ChatGPT or your favorite AI and create a new chat. As you can see in the following image, I suggest you use ChatGPT 4o:

Make sure you start this exercise with a new prompt. If you are using ChatGPT, select the ChatGPT 4o model.

3. Paste or drag and drop the image into ChatGPT. If pasting the image added text to the prompt, remove it, then type the following prompt:

Prompt: Please describe this image.

The response will look something like the following text:

AI response: This is a photograph of a meerkat standing upright on a rock with a beautiful, warm sunset or sunrise in the background. The lighting gives the scene a soft, golden glow, highlighting the meerkat’s fur and making it appear almost radiant…

💡You are learning that most AIs are now multimodal, meaning they can understand things that are not just text. You upload a picture of a Meerkat, and it knows it is a Meerkat. You can even chat about it, which will be the next step.
